Taking a short break for two weeks to soak in the energy of gratitude. We've been slowly blessing the trunk of our handmade gratitude tree with coloured paper leaves filled with words of gratitude. Later this week we will read the messages together as a family. Looking forward to hearing our long list. A heart full of gratitude is a powerful way to enter the darker days of winter. As we move into our hibernation, I open to the wisdom of the turning seasons and what it calls out of our deepest selves.
Be back soon.
Be back soon.
Do tell me more about the gratitude tree! I'd love to do this with our family ~
ReplyDeleteOur way to celebrate our gratitude this time of year. We made a tree, cut paper leaves, and whenever anyone felt like writing something they were grateful for on a leaf, they did. We've had it in our kitchen for four weeks. Yesterday we read them as we shared a special lunch. After lunch we hung them on some string on the wall (sort of like a clothesline)so we can soak in gratitude. This is the first year we've done this and I am amazed at how my oldest child beemed with smiles when something was read about him. Gratitude is magical and so connecting!
